Catherine Leyshon

Catherine was a Professor of Human Geography with over 25 years’ experience as a researcher. She has conducted process-based evaluations for NESTA and works extensively on place-based, person-centred projects that seek to grow community capacity, improve wellbeing and empower individuals and communities to develop social innovation from the ground up. She has worked on research projects in partnership with the voluntary sector, local government and the NHS.
Michael Leyshon

Michael was an Associate Professor of Social Geography with nearly 30 years’ experience as a researcher. After working for Gloucestershire Constabulary on a range of research and evaluation projects, he moved into higher education where he has conducted projects on youth engagement and wellbeing, healthy aging and the role of the voluntary sector in delivering social value in rural areas.
Simon Leyshon

Mae gan Simon dros 30 mlynedd o brofiad fel addysgwr ac arweinydd y gymuned. Mae gan Simon 20 mlynedd o brofiad o arwain uwch arweinwyr mewn ysgolion fel Caplan Ysgol, Dirprwy Bennaeth a Phrifathro. Mae wedi arwain ar les, cydlyniant cymunedol, dysgu cydweithredol, gwella'r ysgol, cydymffurfio, diogelu, gofal bugeiliol ac ethos ysgol. Yn y gorffennol, fel offeiriaid plwyf, bu'n arwain prosiectau gwirfoddoli cymunedol. Ar lefel genedlaethol ar gyfer yr eglwys, cyflwynodd hyfforddiant ac INSET ar y sector gwirfoddol.
Shuks Esmene
Research Fellow
Shuks Esmene is a Human Geographer. Over the past 10 years, he has undertaken cross-sector research into social inequalities. This research has concentrated on coproducing responses to key social challenges in collaboration with communities and the public, voluntary and private sectors. Shuks specialises in a wide range of qualitative analyses and co-designing participatory methods that ensure diverse – and often marginalised – voices are heard. His key outputs include peer-reviewed academic publications, policy reports and think pieces (nationally and internationally) and strategic reports for the voluntary sector.
